The Hori Hori Knife is a perfect cross between a knife and a trowel. It is great for dividing perennials, weeding, cutting roots, transplanting, and removing plants. This hand-forged carbon steel hori hori is extra-reliable, keeping an edge far longer than its mass-produced counterparts.

Traditionally called a "Sansai Hori", which translates to "Mountain Vegetable Digging", it originated as a general-purpose foraging tool that over time has found its way into the garden in North America due to its versatility.

They're made from carbon steel, possibly an SK variety, so they'll keep an edge well and be nice to sharpen, but are plenty tough enough for digging in the dirt, cutting through roots, etc. I'm excited to go digging with one!
